Immediate support
United States
If you’re in the U.S. and need immediate help, call or text 988.
If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
If you are outside the U.S., search for your local crisis hotline or emergency services in your country.
Kindred tools
- Two-minute check-in: name the feeling, name the need, name the next step.
- Boundary script: “I can do X. I can’t do Y. I can do X again on Z.”
- Aftercare plan: water, food, light movement, one safe person, one grounding task.
- Spiral interrupt: label the story, list 3 facts, choose 1 action.
When to seek professional help
If you’re experiencing persistent thoughts of self-harm, feel unsafe, or symptoms that may require medical support, Kindred encourages professional care. Peer support can help, but it should not carry what belongs in treatment.
